A DOCUMENTARY ABOUT MYSELF
I've watched a lot of really cool documentaries on a range of people and topics. I love them for a number of reasons: the closed captioning across the screen at pivotal points, never before seen footage, the added perspective from the person themselves, the list goes on. So, I'm going to make one about myself. Welcome to my blog, Skin&Moore.
My name is Miranda Moore and I'm a licensed esthetician based in Atlanta, Georgia. I'm starting this blog to document my journey as a solo esthetician, running and growing a small business, and what I do regarding skincare. I'll also give you a little peak into my lifestyle as a mom, wife, entrepreneur, and everything else that comes up. I'd like to think I'll look back at this one day and be proud of what I created. And I want my kids to be proud too.
Since earning my license in 2013, the profession has been really good to me and that's what I'll share here. The good and the not so good during the past decade in the industry. I've made a lot of friends along the way, many of them starting off as my clients. I've given a lot of people their first facial, I've lasered every body part there is, I get wholesale pricing on skincare and other beauty products, and I've started my own small business that continues to grow.
I'm trying to, simultaneously, also grow my career in cybersecurity. Yes, very opposite end of the spectrum but I can appreciate living during a time when you can have more than one career interest. Especially as a woman. I can remember taking my first computer class in 3rd grade vividly. I can also appreciate where technology and skincare meet. Skincare machines and other devices have improved exponentially since merging with technology and I've had the opportunity to experience all of that. I can't wait to tell you the stories.
